UMMTA is committed to making performances accessible to the widest possible audience. We recognise that there may be a variety of barriers to attending theatre; financial, distance and travel time or otherwise. UMMTA has a limited number of discounted tickets for each show to help reduce these barriers. If you believe these barriers (or others) prevent you from attending the show, please email [email protected], with your preferred show times. Our equity officer will respond to your email. Please note: your tickets will only be confirmed once you have received confirmation from our Equity Officer.

Companion CardsUnion House Theatre is affiliated with the Companion Card program. All events staged in the Union and Guild Theatres accept Companion Cards. The event organiser will issue a Companion Ticket, at no charge, to cardholders

Wheelchair AccessThe Guild Theatre is wheelchair accessible, with reserved wheelchair seating available. There is an accessible lift in the Union House, and our Casual Theatre Worker at the event will be able to assist where necessary

Accessible ToiletsThere are accessible toilets available in Union House — one on the ground floor (between the Union Theatre and UMSU Info Desk), and one on Level 1 opposite the lifts.

Captioned Performances
Legally Blonde will provide live captioning for three performances: 19th October (Afternoon), 19th October (Evening) and 26th October (Afternoon).
During these performances, text is displayed on a screen to the side of the stage, relaying actors’ dialogue, nuances, music and sound effects. Where possible, seats near the screen are held for those who require them. If you wish to view the captions, please inform us when you book to ensure appropriate seating is made available.
