About Us

History

Established in the second half of 2002, UMMTA aims to provide all members of the Melbourne University community with the opportunity to participate in and appreciate all forms of Music Theatre.

We are completely student run, and by putting on two shows a year we offer students not only a chance to perform on stage, but also the opportunity to be involved on the production side of things, from directing and producing to sound and light technicians. We attract students from a diverse range of faculties and universities, as long as they can act and sing, or rig a light, we don't mind!

Committee

UMMTA is run by a committee voted in at the AGM each year. This committee chooses the shows and the production crews, organises social events and outings and handles the day to day running of the group.
